By the time you arrive at the airport, our company representative will be waiting to receive you. Meet, greet and transfer to your booked hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Before he leaves, he will give a briefing of the 5 day tour including the next day’s flight program.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, our driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Entebbe or Kajjansi to catch your flight to Bwindi. The flight takes approximately 3.5 hours. On arrival at Kisoro airstrip, our representative at the destination will transfer you to your lodge in Bwindi. Check in, have lunch, prepare for the next day’s adventure and enjoy your leisure time at this tranquil lodge.

Gorilla trekking days start early with breakfast at the lodge. To your backpack, add your packed lunch and set off to the park offices. Attend the briefing and thereafter you will be allocated a gorilla family to track. Walking sticks are provided at the starting point to support you when hiking through the forest. Ranger guides share a lot of facts about the forest and its wildlife during the trek. When you spot the gorillas, you will give them company in the forest for only one hour, a precious and memorable time of watching the way of life of these apes. They could be found still feeding, playing, or perhaps relaxing after roaming around the forest for food. Return to the park offices, pick your trekking certificates and drive back to the lodge. Relax and recover from the hike.

A better way to spend time with gorillas in the wild is being part is going for the gorilla habituation experience and this is what your Day 4 entails. You will wake up to an early morning breakfast, and report to the park offices where you will meet the team that you are joining for gorilla habituation. You will be briefed about the activity and enter the forest by 7 p.m. to start the day with the gorillas as they exit their nests. Watch and learn about the process of familiarizing the gorillas with humans and preparing them for tourism. After about 4 hours of this activity, return to the lodge and relax.

In the evening, you will be entertained by a group of local dancers who will show off the powerful strokes of the Bakiga traditional dance.

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer to Kisoro airstrip where you will catch your flight back to Entebbe or Kajjansi, connect to Entebbe International Airport and fly back home.
