Early in the morning, at 6:00 a.m., meet your driver guide to take you from Kigali to Akagera National Park and immerse yourself in its stunning savannah landscapes. When you arrive at the park, have a short game drive to see many animals when they are active, like zebras, waterbucks, lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and a wide array of bird species before you go back to your hotel for lunch.

After you have rested, jump on an evening game drive to see some animals you might have missed in the morning. Join the sunset boat ride to see aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles, and other mammals like elephants and other animals around the lake in their natural habitat, as you soak in the sunset views and amazing landscapes of the park. After the boat ride, relax at your hotel and take in the breathtaking views of Lake Ihema.

Early morning game drive is an opportunity to spot many animals when they are active in the bush and maximize the chances to spot nocturnal animals like leopards, and hyenas before the sun rises. It is also the best time to see the animals flocking the lakes in search of drinking water and see many of them grazing in the open places in the park.

after taking your packed lunch, you will head to the northern part of the park, characterized by open savannah, to spot majestic Giraffes, more buffalos, rhinos, zebras, Topis, leopards, and more. After the game drive, you will drive back to Kigali, where you will spend a relaxing night before the next adventure in the following days.

After breakfast, your driver guide will take you to Volcanoes National Park, home to the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas. On your way to Musanze, the gateway to the volcanoes national park, you will be able to enjoy breathtaking sceneries, mountainous landscapes, and verdant natures, as you learn more about the community lifestyle in places you pass by.

After taking lunch in Musanze, delve into Rwanda's rich cultural heritage by visiting local communities near Volcanoes National Park. Engage with the locals, learn about their traditions, and experience their vibrant music and dance. After an early breakfast, at 6:30 a.m. your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking experience, receive important guidelines, and meet your fellow trekkers. Set off on an exciting trek through the lush forest, as you navigate the trails and soak in the enchanting surroundings, and witness these magnificent creatures up close in their natural habitat. The encounter with these gentle giants is bound to leave you in awe and create lasting memories.

After the trek, you will go for lunch and set off to Rubavu City, where you will spend the rest of your evening relaxing in your hotel with mesmerizing views of Lake Kivu.

Conclude your journey in the picturesque town of Rubavu, nestled on the shores of Lake Kivu. Spend the day relaxing on the sandy beaches, enjoying water sports such as kayaking or paddleboarding, or exploring the vibrant lakeside markets, Rwanda- DRC (Congo) boarders’ exploration. Indulge in delicious cuisine at local restaurants and savor the tranquillity and beauty of the lake as you bid farewell to Rwanda’s adventures.

After lunch, you will start your journey back to Kigali, for airport drop-off or a designated hotel for the rest of your stay in Rwanda. This will mark the end of your trip.
