Transfer to Nyungwe & Canopy Walkway
After early breakfast, you will meet your assigned professional guide at 6:30 a.m. to take you on an amazing journey from Kigali to the Nyungwe rainforest where your adventure begins. This trip will surprise you with mesmerizing landscapes, amazing mountain views, and greenery sceneries, witnessing Rwanda as a green country and a land of thousand hills. It will give you a glimpse of Rwanda’s heritage corridor you will traverse, learning about Rwanda’s history on the go.
In the afternoon, you will visit East Africa's only canopy walk, which offers stunning views of the forest canopy and the valleys below. Visitors can take a walk across the bridge and spot various birds, primates, and wildlife. The view and the thrills up there at the canopy are beyond imagination. Take a moment to take enough photos and short videos for the memories of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Chimpanzee Trekking & Guided village walk
Nyungwe National Park is home to over 500 chimpanzees. Visitors can take a guided trek into the forest to see the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The trekking experience is a thrilling adventure, and visitors can also spot other primates such as colobus monkeys and baboons.
Rise early (5:30 a.m.) to embark on an extraordinary chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, track these fascinating primates through the dense forest. Witness their playful behaviors, observe their social interactions, and capture precious moments.
In the evening, after you have rested well, you will take a guided village walk, where you will learn how communities around the park live, their farms, cow or goat rearing activities, their economic activities, infrastructures, and more. Later in the evening, you will go back to your hotel for relaxation and a restful night
Waterfall Trail & Return to Kigali
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters, where you will meet the guide who will accompany you to one of the nature-walk trails leading to Ndambarare waterfall. Its cascades offer breathtaking views and provide a serene and picturesque atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. You will be amazed by the beauty of the inner paradise found in this Nyungwe National Park.
