OVERVIEW

Akagera National Park is located in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. It is the only Savannah Park we have in Rwanda; it has all the big five and other animals, lakes, and a cultural experience center.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Airport pickup and a tour of Kigali city, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial site at Gisozi to learn about the genocide against Tutsi in 1994. Enjoy lunch at Kigali Repub Lounge. Later, travel from Kigali to Akagera National Park, where we will do a short game drive and boat ride in Lake Ihema and stay overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 2: Wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and start a full-day game drive. We continue to enjoy the beauty of the Savannah Park. We will have lunch at Mihindi Picnic, and after the game drive, we will stay overnight at Karenge Bush Camp and have dinner there.

Accommodation: Karenge Bush Camp

Day 3: Wake up in the early morning for a game drive in the northern part of the park, and then after having breakfast in the lodge, drive back to Kigali. We will have a stopover at Bashana Coffee & Imigongo Art Center and embark on our journey heading to Kigali for our flight departure, according to the flight departure time.
